Position Summary:
This position is for a Researcher with demonstrated experience and skills for yeast genetics, molecular biology and bioinformatics. The position will require mentoring, supervising, working with and leading several undergraduate and post-bac students along with help from the PI.
As a Researcher, you will play a key role in driving scientific discovery by independently leading and executing research projects. This professional-level position demands a high degree of expertise and judgement in designing studies, analyzing data, and may involve assistants in publishing findings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and contribute to grant writing and securing funding for future research. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Will work on projects and preparing the data pertaining to understanding the yeast genetic models to study human diseases, including cystic fibrosis. training undergrad students in basic lab techniques ordering equipment and supplies while maintaining lab safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $50,050 - $53,000
