The Al-Kadhimi lab is seeking applications for someone to be an integral member of the lab, providing technical support by performing established lab procedures and collecting and summarizing data with minimal supervision. These procedures include but are not limited to collecting PBMCs and sera from blood samples, cell culture, flow cytometry, mouse husbandry, and tissue processing. The ideal candidate will have experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, mouse work, data analysis, and record keeping.
As a Researcher, you will play a key role in driving scientific discovery by independently leading and executing research projects. This professional-level position demands a high degree of expertise and judgement in designing studies, analyzing data, and may involve assistants in publishing findings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and contribute to grant writing and securing funding for future research. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Provides technical support by performing complex research related tasks.
· Acts as a subject matter expert on research methods and equipment functions.
· Performs a variety of tests requiring a high degree of proficiency.
· Troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions.
· Evaluates study results using statistical and multivariate analysis.
· May instruct an academic section in research techniques, instruments, methods, and procedures.
· Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.
· Performs duties as assigned.
Hourly salary range: $24.05 - $39.10
