Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.
Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession a valid driver’s license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Essential Accountabilities:
· Performs repairs, modifications, replacements, and installations of sheet metal items to include heating, ventilating, and air conditioning ducts and equipment, exhaust hoods, grilles and diffusers, housings, cabinets, pitch cups, gutters, and other similar items.
· Fabricates sheet metal items to include heating, ventilating, and air conditioning ducts and equipment; exhaust hoods; grilles and diffusers; housings; cabinets; pitch cups; gutters; and other similar items.
· Maintains and operates hand tools and powered sheet metal fabricating equipment such as press brakes, shears, rollers, slitters, welding equipment and other similar items.
· Develops sheet metal layouts according to design drawings, sketches and an analysis of the job site.
· Performs other duties assigned.

· Knowledge of painting principles, methods, materials with use of hand tools

· Troubleshooting and problem solving
· Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guest, management, and staff
· Ability to work alone efficiently, productively, and with minimal supervision
Possess the necessary physical requirements, with or without the aid of mechanical devices, to safely perform the duties and responsibilities of this position to include:
· Lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
· Climbing stairs, ladders and scaffolding, and working at heights above thirty (30) feet
· Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus
· Working in confined spaces
· Working within extreme temperature ranges
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (Must be able to work a flexible work schedule) (Subject to change to meet the needs of the University and department).
